A Lounge that Deserves More Patronage

This is the first time I called the chef over for giving him a personal compliment. The food here is just "AWESOME". Of course the menu is lounge style - so if you are looking for full meals, naan paratha type food, please avoid this place. The food items are are easy bites. The selection of beverages is likewise. This is a place that is very tastefully done, overlooking a cool pool. The music is pleasing, the staff courteous, the food light and very very tasty, the menu varied, the beverages good. So try it when you want to treat a gang of friends, especially now that they are running a super one for one offer on EVERYTHING !!

Probably Not the Best Place for Lunch

We were looking for a big resto lounge for a decent meal with alcohol on a Sunday afternoon and had three to four options in front of us .We zeroed in on Bay 146 and seemed to completely regret. Right from parking where he didn't allow and asked to take a complete alternative route to go to the back entrance and saluted only the cars . Already frustrated, we seemed to hit upon the most ugliest grey door I've ever seen and was told it was the entrance to Bay 146 . Our suspicions were nearly confirmed when we found an empty restaurant at 1.30 PM on a Sunday afternoon . We were told there were 2 packages , one at Rs 600 and another at Rs 1120 . Though the buffet menu looked good, we just bolted out of the door as soon as we could. However, the same experience was slightly different at night when there was a live DJ with some really good crowd and the liquids flowing. Probably this place is only for night life and not anytime else.

Could Definitely Be Better....!

Was here on a Saturday evening with my husband. We got ourselves a table indoor and it was very relaxed and comfortable as there was no crowd at all. Reg the ambiance - This place is a pretty big place. The interiors are neatly done. They have an indoor as well as an outdoor area, where the latter overlooks the swimming pool. The entire bar is worked on a lot of levels, right from the entry - which is interesting. But, no dance floor! The entire floor area seemed to be covered with tables and chairs spaced out. But I doubt if the crowd here is even a dancing crowd! it looked pretty formal and the music was awful! Two big screens and a few smaller screens as well but music that was played was so lifeless until 9! it was at 9 that the crowd was growing slowly. Guess, only during those sports fever days, this is a great place to be! Otherwise this place, by itself is pretty lifeless - they should definitely improvise their audio list, at all times! Regarding food and drink - they have a pretty good list in the drinks menu! I ordered a cinnamon pomo and an ice creaming! Both were great - a girl's drink definitely! my husband went for usual drinks which are not worthy to be mentioned here! :D The starters we ordered were - stuffed mushroom (too less in quantity!) + batter fried prawns(good but usual) + calamari rings(good but usual) + spicy potato wedges(normal potato wedges tossed in chilli powder! just ok) and kozhi ghee fry(chicken in indian style masala-just edible!!). We finished off with just one main course - I don't remember the name, but it was fish cooked in oyster sauce served with rice! This was awesome! :) Really! My husband, who generally doesn't enjoy seafood, liked this a lot! The bill came up to about Rs.4600 (inc of taxes) for 5 drinks + 5 starters + 1 main course - which is hmmmmmmmmmm ok! But the food and service could have been better for the price paid! Overall, it was a relaxed and comfortable evening! BDW, they have happy hours from 12 noon - 3 pm on all 7 days and they have a separate happy hour menu which is pretty good! Its a buy one get one free offer. Definitely would work out a lot more reasonable! A must try (i will!)
