This place is a must visit for those who are looking out for a change and what could be a better change than this place. It's pan cakes are delicious. The beverages too are above par. This is more of a self service place. Pricing and ambiance are good.
I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, pancakes and hazelnut cappuccino. The coffee was great , sandwich was alright and the pancakes were pathetic (resembled more like a maalpuaa) :P . Anyhow its a good change from the boring old CCD.
It feels so good to say that we finally get good coffee in Kolkata. Every time I visit Coffee Bean, I either order for swedish berry iced tea or a double chocolate coffee with spaghetti four cheese and herb cream. No complains. No improvements. Service is good. The place is always clean. You order, pay, take the token plate and sit down. They serve everything you need. All you have to do is eat, chill, get up and leave. And yes. The cheesecake and the apple pie are a must try!
This is another "HADKE" venue, if you are bored of a neighbourhood CCD, you can definitely give it a try! Well, the prime focus of this cafe is it's pasta, the white sauce pasta! Utterly bored of the daily grind, we had once made a plan of exploring all the cafes of Kolkata and Coffee Bean ranks amongst the top 5 in our list. Pertaining to it's name, the ambiance and the fragrance makes your day, ah of course if you are a coffee-addict like me! The muffins and the sandwiches of course need a face-lift, but considering the aroma and the ecstasy, the short-comings are excused.
Kolkata, try something different guys, make it a point to visit this cafe at least once during the winters, see you there.
Had to meet a friend after long so she suggested a coffee shop in the Forum mall where we could eat blueberry muffins which she was carving for. Being a weekend the place was packed but we managed to find a cozy corner and made ourselves comfortable on the large sofas.
We were full after lunch but the menu coul'nt make us resist and we ordered coffee, four cheese noodles (the name scared me, but it was'nt all that cheesy) and a blue berry muffin. The noodles were the best. I can have it anytime. Though i have tasted better blueberry muffins, this was'nt bad either. The place was house full at all times and a bit noisy because of the limited space and so many people but it did not matter because the food and company were both good.
We were billed for Rs.400 and its self service here. I would like to visit the place again but wish it was a bit more spacious and less noisy.
