  • good food! Feb 25, 2013

Al Kauser isn't the most popular place but if you're looking for good Indian good to take away, this is a great option. Their food is rich, tasty and good quality. Love their butter chicken and afghani chicken. Their kebabs are quite good too- not as awesome as the authentic lucknow ones of course but as close as it can get in the city :)

  • Good food. period. Jan 12, 2012

The best kakori kababs I've had so far, and trust me, I've had them in a number of places. However, no indoor seating so if you are out on a really cold night (as I did), you could be in for a lot of shivers. But then you have the piping hot and awesome food to beat it with.

If you like sitting in some kind of a veranda and enjoying a lovely tandoori meals Al Kauser is the place. They serve excellent Tandoori. What they are famous for is the Kakori Kebab which just melts in your mouth. Also don't miss out on the Afghani Chicken. The gravies are not really good but do order one just to try out their Varki Parantha which is one of my favorite. And finally to finish the meal do have their Phirnee.

Their Biryani may be served in the most traditional of ways in the dum pots but they don't taste good and are quite bland.

Service is just like any roadsid

  • ought to visit again... Jul 17, 2008

So saturday night we got a chance to try Al-Kauser, was there with a bunch of friends. Ordered Shahi Paneer, Dal Makhni, 2 Veg Biryanis, Rumali Rotis, and Reshami Kebab.

To start with non-veg, we had only two non-veggy's in our group, and they said that Kebabs were sad. They hardly took one piece each and had to leave the remaining stuff.

I am sure you guys know about Chicken Planet in Bara Hindu roa, famous as Changezi. unpretentia I go there regularly as I simply love his Shahi Paneer, Dal Makhani and Khameeri Rotis. The reason I am mentioned that eatery over here is because
