This place does serve decent South Indian Udupi style grub, but i'm not sure what the all the fuss is about. It's average at best, with a maybe a few dishes being really good. I had a try of the Onion Uthappam, Rava Dosa and finally the dependable Ghee Roast. The Uthappam was good and so was the Rava Dosa but i was quite disappointed by the Ghee Roast. It was just too thin for my liking, and that just takes out all the fun for me. Hell, if i want a thin dosa i order a paper dosa! The masala they serve with their Masala dosas are again decent but nothing much to write about. Another major disappointment was their sambhar, it had this weird taste and it almost spoilt the entire meal. Thankfully, their chutneys were really good, the green one especially simply out of this world! The plain white one though still had a lot left to be desired. They serve a mean glass of Rasam, nice and hot, and pretty spicy. It's well worth it to share a glass with someone. The decor, ambiance, service and everything else hardly deserves a mention. In any case, for the curious ones, the decor is dated, the seating cramped, and the furnishing as basic as it can get. Service was pretty prompt but don't expect to strike a conversation with the waiters or expect some fancy suggestions from them. They do what they are supposed to, that's it. And finally, It might be a good idea to end your meal with a cup of their filter coffee, which happens to be pretty good.
