In a the City of Kebabs and Chicken Tikka, looking for good places which are pure vegetarian and vegetarian only is a big ask, and add to that finding a new one several times a year, whenever family wants to go out, they want to try a new place, but it has to be Strictly 'Vegetarian only'.
On one such occasion last month, brain storming was on, and my dad mentioned English Dairy, I though what a weired name and I am in no mood for cakes or desserts for the dinner, I needed something Solid Indian, Desi to the core. However he said that it was proper Indian food place, and we need to give it a shot.
So we reached CP, and this place is hidden behind a petrol pump, its impossible to spot it unless you are looking for it. Exterior is very modern and looks like on of the many swanky fast food places in the area, however once inside, you realize that things are totally different from what they seem to be, its a proper Indianized eating place, no fancy interiors, mere functional furniture and a team of Chhotus.
Any how we ordered out food, 2 Dal Makhani , Kadahi Paneer, Jeera Alu, Chana Masala and Tandoori Rotis. The food was really good, well cooked, proper spices, good aroma. The Rotis were well made, thin and crispy.
We were five of us, and the Damage was around Rs.350 only. This is the best value for money that you can get in a city like Delhi, and being a Pure Vegetarian place only helps families like mine.
