I just cannot wait for the airport modernization to complete. The Port Lounge at the IGI Airport Domestic terminal is a prime example of the torture meted out the average passenger.
First, they charge you waaaaaay too much for the drinks. A bill of Rs. 2500 for a few drinks consisting of Royal Challenge and Bacardi. Then they top that off with the lousiest of service I've ever seen anywhere else. Everything is sloppy about the waiters (and there are 8 of them) - their dress, body language, attention to detail etc. Our waiter dropped ice in the glass such as to splash half of the drink over on the table. Our glasses came with lipstick marks and fingerprints. I could go on and on about our "experience", but I'll spare you the details.
The food is served by buffet only. Price Rs. 400.
Grossly overpriced, slapdash service. This place is best avoided.
