One of my favorites in a stretch where you are spoiled for choice. It is ideal for a quick bite, before exploring the causeway. I highly recommend the Fish & Chips & Fried Sausages. Desserts here are a real treat especially the Cheese Cakes (Blueberry & Lemon). A bit challenged in terms of seating space so make sure you reach early (1 p.m. for Lunch & 8 p.m for Dinner). I have never had to wait, but seen long queues outside when I leave. The personalized service by the owners is a delight and makes me return to the "Cozy Cafe".
After hearing a lot about this place, we went there for lunch one afternoon. I was expecting some really greasy food with bold flavours after going through their menu but I was surprised when our starter of Lemon Mushrooms was put in front of us. It was mild, mellow and made with just the right amount of herbs and spices! Delicious. The husband had a burger and the juicy patty in this just shone through. The fries served alongside were homestyle and it was heartening to see this, a far cry from the machine-made fries that you get in most places these days. I went in for a Prawn with tomato chilli sauce, this succulent and spicy seafood dish was served with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies which made it a very filling meal. For dessert we had the cheesecake and the Banoffee pie, both of which were excellent. The latter had a shortcrust pastry that was buttery and crumbly, which made it a delight to dig into.
