Good

the nicest veg pizza I've ever had

meat eaters never enjoy veg... no matter what anyone says... but when meat eaters try a vegetarian dish and find it yumm, we are really floored... cos we really dont expect anything good to come of the green stuff.

Dint try out much from the menu other than the California pizza... am not too much of a fan of sun dried tomatoes.... but even then it was really really nice... for the first time in life, i appreciated a vegetarian pizza...

The pastry shop outside has some really nice looking desserts... tried the tiramisu... it looked good.... but i wouldn't say its anything exceptional.

Excellent

Good Food, Great Ambience

Try the soft shelled crabs. They are just amazing. I've always found that though I like crabs, getting the meat out of the shell really puts me off it. But Benjarong serves soft shelled crabs which is just awesome.

The food comes in generous portions and we really had to make an effort not to let any of that yum food go to waste.

Try the tamarind chicken & the soft shelled crabs.

To tell you the truth I liked all their stuff... but unfortunately don't remember any of the names!

The waiters are helpful and offer good suggestions... Try this place out if you are in the mood for a quiet relaxing lunch/dinner.

Excellent

Lovely Drinks, Great Food

We got a reservation for 7:30 pm on Saturday advised that we wouldn't even find place to get a foot inside if we went in later than 8. True, the place was packed by around 8:30. By 9 the DJ had also got into the swing of things and was really playing some nice stuff.

The drinks are just awesome, I've never had such variety and such nice flavours in drinks. The cocktails were just phenomenal.

I liked the Lupita (a pineapple flavoured drink) and the Strawberry Margarita the best.... the margarita actually tasted of fresh strawberries.

The tapas accompanying it were also really good. For the first time I liked something vegetarian. The veg nachos were sooo nicely flavoured, we ordered another plate! something unheard of amongst us meat eaters.

The main course and the desserts were also really good. The service was excellent with the waiters appearing at just the right time. The crowd kept the place alive and happening till closing time.

All in all an enjoyable place to spend an evening.

Poor

Shady Place, Sad Service, Decent Food

They might have wanted the place to look like something out of Arabian Nights, but sadly to me it looked like a bordello and a really really cheap one at that.

KKrish was right... the service is appalling... we waited there for half an hour for someone to take our order... finally had to go to the kitchens to place our order.

The Chocolate Avalanche we ordered was good, but the spoons which came along with it literally STANK! We thought for a while and figured it smelt of stale milk.

The food's reputed to be good, but we saw bugs crawling inside the place. That plus the awesome lack of service is enough to put me off the place.

The two stars is just for the Chocolate Avalanche. Nothing else counts

Good

Great! as always

For someone who has always been a casa piccola fan from bangalore days it was really surprise finding one in chennai.

I went for lunch and the restaurant was bright and airy almost as if you were sitting outside minus the heat of course. There was outside seating for those who preferred it to enjoy the balmy chennai weather.

The food surpassed expectations. They had some new items on the menu which I'd never had in B'lore. The Beef Chilly starters was just awesome so was the Beef Moussaka.
The Blackened Fish was just ok... Dint excite me too much but the rest of the food was just amazing.

Best of all the prices are reasonable too...

Ideal for a relaxing weekend lunch. No bookings required, not too much of a crowd.
