Poor

World's Best Bugger Fest...

No... that's not a mistake - they advertise a Beer and Burger Festival, but what we got was something else altogether...

We were lured by the advert in the newspaper of a Beers of the World festival with Hoegaarden, Stella and Kilkenny on the menu, served with a burger from the same nation among others. Our first rude shock was when the waiter said that the beers were out of stock and not available anywhere in the city - Isn't that why we came here in the first place?

Next come the burgers... all tasted the same despite an even distribution between Irish & American burgers. What was worse - my burger was cushioned in a brown bread top and a white bread bottom - another one two plates down unsurprisingly had the reverse!! To top it off, the cheese we ordered on our burgers turned out to be processed slices rather than fresh Cheddar, Gouda and Goat's cheese off a block, as was made out to be on the menu. I wonder... does anyone make processed Goat's cheese slices?

When we asked for the chef, or the manager, no one came for more than 20 minutes by which time we were hungry and could do little else, but eat! The manager, probably sensing our mood, sneakily came by only after we had finished, and without trying to apologize for the poor quality and utter confusion of the meal, launched into a defense of the processed cheese. He unwisely antagonized us till finally, 2 1/2 hours after we first got there, we walked out without paying for the burgers. Bugger them...!

I left my number for a more responsible person, perhaps the owner to call, but nothing till now... If your reading this please ask your manager for my number. If your staff sweeps this under the carpet, then your place has no hope at all...!

I would not recommend this place to anyone... unless all you want is to hang out with free wi-fi and a coffee, or to grab a beer - Ha!

For those looking for the next best eating place - this ain't it!

Good

Good food...if it's on Time!

As a quick stop for a working lunch this place works really well. The place was buzzing with professionals and college students rubbing shoulders in a lively ambience. Being a working day, I was a bit surprised to see so many beer drinkers, with at least one at every table ;)

On to the food... we ordered some Tibetan Chicken momos and the crispy shredded chicken as starters - the shredded chicken did not come till after we finished our main course ... We had the Hunan chicken, fried rice and Haka noodles - the staple chinese dishes... All the food was tasty except the Hunan chicken which was mediocre.

Don't know why others had a problem with the service (or maybe they have taken steps to improve it), but we had no particular issues with the service except for turning back our starter that arrived after the meal ;) Aside from that, the wait staff seemed very pleasant and efficient and we actually got service with a smile :)

The damage was a very respectable Rs. 700 and will definitely go back here for what seems to be a dependable lunch spot near the office...

Nice Curry, but STICKY Rice

Jokes apart, the rice was so sticky that the curry did not even mix into the glutenous mess. We ordered the Thai red curry with prawns which was really nice, creamy and had a good number of large prawns. I would recommend this dish to others...
We also ordered the Hot & Sour soup which I wont recommend - or if you are adventurous and do order it (not that its inedible), please make sure you tell them to go easy on the black pepper (the soup is swimming with huge black peppercorns) which catch your throat in a big way.
Lastly the sticky rice - not much left to say... I guess glutenous mess would be the best description for what should be a staple dish...
There is a silver lining though as they have a wide variety of cuisines and food types including sandwiches, burgers, etc. making it a great option for eating out when in... One drawback it that it is a tad overpriced with our meal above costing around Rs.800 for rice a curry and soup !!

Good

Wine & Dine, but no Kingfisher!

No complaints with the food, and the service was surprisingly good on what seemed a busy day, but why can't this place serve beer? I can understand that they don't have a liqour license, but beer, c'mon...

Went for dinner without a reservation and decided to wait out the twenty minutes till our table was ready, rather than hop over to another place. Was definitely a good choice despite being squeezed into a table for two, flanked (they could have eaten off our plates if they just reached over!) by two large, loud groups! Please, people, ask to be seated outside when you book a table...

Given their reputation, we were pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the service this time around - we literally had guys buzzing around, ready to help.

The food which has always been good, was no disappointment - we had the humus/falafel platter and the crispy potato skins which were divine. For the main course I had the Beaten Tenderloin Steak and Roxi had the Slow Cooked Lamb. Both were yummie and we were truly satisfied by the meal.

To top off a great dinner, we each ordered a Molten Chocolate which unfortunately came rather burnt. Wanting to get rid of us - it was closing time - they tried to pawn them off saying that it would taste the same, but quickly changed their tune once they saw the quizzical look on my face. They offered to make another one despite the kitchen being closed - appreciated the effort to rectify their mistake and enjoyed the dessert the way it should be... with great delight!

Would go there again and recommend it to others, especially when you consider that at 3.5k for the 3-course meal - with a bottle of Two Oceans as the highest cost component, I think the food is quite reasonably priced when compared to other places that charge a premium in their attempt to cater to the A-list...

Day-trip Delight

Met a friend for lunch at this delightful place on a day-trip to Delhi last week. I guess the winter weather had much to do with it as we enjoyed the warmth of the sun on the edge of a park that Flavors overlooks.

The food was good - we had a feta salad, a parma ham pizza (cooked in a wood-oven) and the hot pepperoni panini. The pizza was pretty authentic - thin, crispy and the ham was fresh, while the panini lacked the chef's creative inspiration - seemed like he just chucked it together - more like a melt than a panini...

All in all, a good experience and even though the service was a bit unprofessional, I would recommend this place and probably go back myself when in town. The meal cost about 1300 so not too bad on the wallet either.
